What's on offer?

Eight Homes is seeking a skilled Production Draftsperson to create high-quality, detailed architectural plans that bring our residential homes to life.

Responsibilities:

  • Modify master plans to suit individual land requirements, client specifications, and promotional guidelines, delivered within agreed timeframes.
  • Produce high-quality architectural drawings including landscaping, based on client variations and in compliance with, developer approvals, council regulations, and energy rating standards.
  • Accurately interpret and apply planning overlays, easements, legal discharge points, tree protection zones, site cut/fill, retaining walls, and relevant building codes.
  • Follow established drafting processes and checklists to maintain high standards across all stages, from concept through to final engineering and joist layouts.
  • Manage engineering orders, conduct thorough quality checks, and ensure timely delivery to internal teams.
  • Maintain up-to-date records in Evolve databases for seamless job tracking and workflow transparency.
  • Collaborate with Sales to develop concept plans and assess outside variation guideline (OVG) requests, including major dwelling modifications and site fall evaluations Action post contracts and building variations within agreed timeframes.

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in residential drafting or building design & technology or equivalent. preferred but not required
  • 2+ years' experience in a residential construction (volume build) or similar
  • Proficiency in industry-specific software and tools, such as AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, principles, methods, and materials involved in the production and construction of residential
  • Sound knowledge of residential building codes, regulations and 7-star energy
