There is no one like Father Bob - outspoken, genuine, and all-rounder larrikin.
When he walks through our doors, he lights up the room with his humour, personality and refreshing honesty. Our longstanding relationship with him and the Father Bob Maguire Foundation spans over 10 years, and it all began with the purchase of some food vans for his HopeMobile service, which delivers nutritious meals and good conversations to the homeless.
We’ve also held three Urbandura bike events over the years, raising over $100K for his foundation to help with food relief, social inclusion, digital poverty, educational support, and a range of associated services so that no one is left behind.
Yesterday, we welcomed him again to accept a $10,000 donation from funds raised at our mid-year staff celebration. As usual, Father Bob was entertaining and insightful, sharing his stories with the team, making us laugh as well as telling us about the critical work needed in the community.
